Engineer, researcher,
and reluctant desk-dweller.
I'm a researcher in environmental engineering with a deep focus on particulate matter, monitoring, modeling and forecasting.
My work sits at the intersection of environment, particulate matter assessment and machine learning-based prediction. Much of my research targets the air quality of complex terrains, particularly the foothills of the Indian Himalayas, where the geography itself plays a decisive role in trapping particulates.
This site is where I document what I study, what I notice, and what drives me. It is part research log, part personal record and a window into what it means to do science in a place the world rarely looks at, chasing cleaner air one forecast at a time.
When I'm not running simulations or drafting journals, I'm almost certainly planning a trek, a roadtrip, or a long train journey. I find it interesting that both travel and research involve going somewhere unfamiliar and trying to understand what you find there.
